Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 USM II

I got this old kit lens when I bought my used Canon EOS 550D. It is built entirely in plastic and is eliminated by most photographers. In fact, I’ve taken nice and relatively sharp close-ups with this lens downstopped to f8 at 55mm combined with spacer rings and an DIY diffuser for the built-in flash in the EOS 550D. 18-55 zoom lenses generally work very well mounted backwards along with a reverse mounting adapter to obtain closeups. I like the challenge of trying to get nice pictures with equipment that people think is rubbish.
